Which bucket should you choose?

Green Space now offers 2 size options: the Standard Composting Bucket and Mini Composting Bucket.

STANDARD COMPOSTING BUCKET (20L)
[diameter: 300mm | height: 405mm]
On average, a household of 4 will fill up one standard (20L) bucket in 2 weeks time. (ave. 10kgs of food waste)

MINI COMPOSTING BUCKET (16L)
[diameter: 300mm | height: 332mm]
A smaller household can choose the mini bucket (16L) which can hold up to 8kgs of food waste.

Should you get a STARTER PACK or a COMPOST KIT?



We highly recommend having 2 buckets (i.e., our STARTER PACK)
  1. Collect & layer food waste with bokashi bran in bucket #1 until it's full
  2. Keep bucket #1 and let it ferment for 2 weeks; so you start collecting/layering in bucket #2
  3. After 2 weeks - bucket #1 is done fermenting, ready to go to for composting; bucket #2 will start fermenting this time.
  4. Clean up bucket #1 so you can start layering your food waste & bokashi bran into it again.

Then it becomes a cycle.

If your food waste generation can fill up 1 bucket in just 1 week then you will need 3 buckets to rotate.
